AIR is a message and routing protocol originally developed by CMLabs and subsequently released, along with a reference implementation in Java to the MINDMAKERS.ORG organization — no strings attached. This version of AIR has subsequently been renamed OpenAIR and its specification and further development is now completely managed by the MINDMAKERS organization. CMLabs continues to evolve its own
extensions of AIR, while keeping complete compliance with OpenAIR
